Eurotec have two solutions available for fever screening from infrared specialists Optris.
Crowd Based Screening using the Optris Xi 400. The IR camera can monitor a crowd of people at once or sequentially.
Individual Screening using the Optris PI 450i. This method is mainly used at control gates or where crowd screening is not possible.

Why identify increased body surface temperature with thermography? An important indicator for an infection is increased body temperature (compared to other people in the immediate surroundings), generally known as fever. Thermography is the ideal method for scanning not just individuals, but also large flows of people. To do this, the temperature at the inner corner of the eye is measured, and an alarm triggered if it deviates. This allows persons with increased body temperature to be identified quickly and reliably, and to be isolated for more exact testing.

Testo handheld infrared thermometers for Increased Body Surface Temperature Detection The Testo handheld infrared thermometers can be pointed at a person’s forehead for non-contact temperature measurement, allowing individuals with increased body surface temperature to be identified quickly so they can be isolated for more exact testing.
Note: It is important not to point the thermometer directly at the eye area. Please make sure to read instructions carefully before use or contact a Eurotec representative for assistance.
